We would love you to join our UK team as an Associate Director

Why this role?

Working with the wider Hotwire group, as a currently established Associate Director you will be instrumental in driving the success of a portfolio of technology clients, whilst leading and nurturing an outstanding team. You’ll be a seasoned and inspirational confidant for clients, leading them through integrated communication strategies seamlessly, with an ear to the ground for the latest innovations and changes in the industry. You’ll have a proven ability to drive and win new business; able to tell compelling stories to clients in order to deliver globally leading campaigns. You’ll be a creative and strategic thinker, passionate about tech, and with an ability to combine skill with commercial aptitude. Whilst delivering excellent client service to your retained partners, you will have the ability to balance new business opportunities with organic growth of current clients in order to support the growth of your team. As a senior leader within the B2B tech practice, you’ll be a true advocate of the Hotwire way of working, championing our values and culture in order to inspire your team and clients alike!

Accountabilities

Delivering the Hotwire vision and growth (what you will do to help us achieve our strategy)

  • Possess strong commercial and resource acumen; knowing when and how best to manage the business focus alongside client deliverables; share knowledge and insight with the team and the wider business to drive growth
  • Have a strategic viewpoint, which you can confidently convey to clients and integrate into plans and campaigns; thinking about the upcoming months and what you can do to move your client forward seamlessly
  • Have a strong understanding of the integration communications and marketing products and services available within the Hotwire business, in order to consistently think outside of plans to give your clients new and exciting ideas for campaigns that will hit business objectives and grow accounts organically
  • Be curious; always be in a state of ‘discovery’ with clients, confidently asking strategic questions to uncover business pain and opportunities for organic growth; ultimately building stronger client relationships based on trust and an understanding of their industry and business
  • Have strong industry influence; with a number of well-established contacts under your belt and knowledge of movers and shakers
  • Embrace the new PR landscape; for instance working with a wide network of influencers and digital content strategies in order to create the best campaigns possible
  • Have an enterprising mindset – focused on how we can organically grow business within our existing client network
  • Be ambitious – leading B2B-focused marketing, content and lead generations initiatives to drive Hotwire brand awareness and business development

Deliver the best (internal and external) client experiences

  • Oversee a portfolio value of £500k - £700k consisting of large names and challenger brands in the B2B tech space
  • Be an incredible client partner – able to work with a real variety of businesses in order to drive growth and client delight
  • Be a truly strategic thinker; able to engage your teams in how to craft their own strategic thinking, whilst creating innovative work for clients
  • Have strong experience of integrated communications and be adept at communicating the strategy around these to retained and new clients alike
  • Develop and maintain strong client relations, offering strategic client counsel and ensuring client delight through deliverables
  • Think with an ‘integrated mindset’, with experience in campaigns across media relations as well as social media, events and owned content
  • Have strong project management skills; be a master at juggling a number of projects at once; whilst instilling senior clients with confidence and motivating your team

Deliver the best people experiences (how you will work with your team, locally and globally)

  • Lead with purpose and by example. As a critical member of the senior B2B Tech team, you will be setting the standard and expectations for leadership, teamwork and results
  • Build awareness, desire and passion for the Hotwire Vision, Values and Strategy across the client teams. Establish and test understanding of the vision and strategy and provide clear, regular and consistent comms on progress towards goals and own personal objectives
  • Managing team members on accounts and having direct line reports within the B2B Tech team; inspiring and driving them to reach their full potential
  • Be the right hand person to your Director, keeping them updated with team performance, client health/status and opportunities for growth
  • Be involved in your team’s development and talent mapping; helping identify opportunities to help them grow
  • Coach direct reports, driving a culture that enables current, direct and "actionable" feedback to others

Get your hands dirty; and be a real team player – from media relations to content, demonstrating best practice across the board

You’ll Bring:

  • Experience within the B2B comms space
  • A strong, proven track record in B2B integrated technology communications
  • Excellent and proven team leadership ability with true desire to motivate and develop a team
  • Strategic and innovative thinking, both for clients and the consultancy
  • Experience working with global brands; understanding the need for localisation
  • Superb client relationship skills
  • Experience of resource and budget management
  • A solid network of influencer contacts spanning media, social media and wider stakeholders (e.g. analysts, think tanks, academics etc.)
  • An entrepreneurial outlook, backed up by solid new business experience and a strong track record in organic growth of client budgets
  • The ambition to truly drive forwards a thriving consultancy, and nurture your team in order to support the consultancy goals
  • Experience of managing team capacity and hours – spotting over servicing and any issues which may arise from holidays etc.
  • An ability to multi-task and keep your cool under pressure
