Introduction:


My Client is a globally recognised private banking and asset management company with a rich history and a strong international presence. The group manages assets of over £250bn for wealthy private individuals and institutional clients. The bank employs over 3000 individuals who work out of more than 18 locations in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The firm offers a comprehensive range of financial services, including investment management, wealth planning, private banking, and asset management, catering to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. The team hiring currently consists of one Partner, one Investment Manager and one Trainee Investment Manager. Together they they look after around eighty families and manage £500m of asset. The book has grown by £150m over the past 24 months and is expected to grow by a further £100m by the end of the year and so this appointment is part of growth phrase for the firm.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Assist Investment Manager in the construction and maintenance of suitable portfolios for investment clients.
  • Take instructions to invest new client money and put forward suggestions for a suitable portfolio in accordance with client instructions.
  • Execute required dealing activity under instruction to implement strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions in client portfolios.
  • Identify potential changes to client portfolios driven by stock/fund specific, market and general economic indicators and discuss suggestions for appropriate action within client portfolios.
  • Gather information from prospective and existing clients sensitively and sufficiently to properly inform investment recommendations/decisions.
  • Attend client meetings & present pre-agreed propositions and house views ensuring that information given is up to date, clear and not misleading and meets the client’s needs.
  • All personal dealings with clients are conducted professionally and their requests are dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
  • Agree follow-up points with Investment Manager from client meetings; take responsibility for your actions and prompt others on theirs.


Technical Requirements:


  • At least level 4 qualified and ideally level 7 qualified or studying towards it.
  • At least 3 years’ experience within a similar role, with exposure to all aspects of client management.
