The Consumer Goods, Retail & Logistics practice is at a critical stage of its growth journey and is looking to build upon its existing competencies and expand into complementary business areas. It is one of the fastest growing units in the entire business and helps some of the largest global firms and most recognisable local brands solve their biggest challenges. Over the last few years, it has done some pioneering work in the field of Digital commerce, logistics optimisation, cloud transformation, revenue maximization and AI-driven automation.

The Associate Partner will provide leadership in shaping the existing practice and elevating it into the go-to entity across Infosys for all key CPG, retail and logistics transformation opportunities within Europe. The ideal candidate will have the necessary insights and industry experience to drive value for corporate and private equity investors across all phases of the MA&D life cycle from strategy, targeting and due diligence through execution and integration or divestiture. He/she will play a critical role in leading the development and execution of all stages of the MA&D life cycle on critical transformation programmes. As Infosys Consulting looks to build the CRL practice and MA&D capabilities in EMEA, this role will play a key role in attracting and developing top consulting talent from the industry to establish a high-performing and collaborative team.

In addition, the Associate Partner will leverage his knowledge and network within the CRL sector, developing new client relationships, while also leveraging the existing practice and wider firm’s resources and market access. He/she will cultivate existing Infosys Limited CRL relationships to identify further opportunity for Infosys Consulting.

Role

  • Engagement Management: Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to client senior level executives; lead engagement planning and budgeting: lead large and complex consulting teams; define project scope; manage engagement risk; facilitate buy in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client, ensure timely quality delivery of work products
  • Client relationships: build relationships with new potential clients; manage the day-to-day interactions with clients and sponsors
  • Business Development: develop and maintain contact with decision makes and influencers at key clients; organise and lead pursuit teams; oversee the proposal development process; oversee the development of proposal pricing and manage trade-offs and risks in the approvals process
  • Practice Development & eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop thought ware and Point of View documents; participate supporting marketing of the MA&D eminence
  • People Development: Perform the role of counsellor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams
  • Build grow and manage high performing teams, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants
  • Support the growth and development of MA&D solutions and actively collaborate with colleagues across the business to develop the value propositions and approaches
  • Drive innovation within the business to stay ahead of the client needs

Requirements

  • Highly commercial individual, commanding a presence with senior executives both internally and externally with ambition to exceed targets and expectations
  • Mature interpersonal and influencing skills, especially at senior client levels
  • Strong sales ability and closing skills at executive and board levels
  • Interact as a peer at Exec/Board level in client companies and comfortable working at senior level within complex organisations, able to build empathy, credibility, and trust with key customers
  • Must have a proven track record of achievement in selling and delivering consulting and technology services, whilst delivering business objectives within large CRL corporate environments where there is rapid change.
  • Recognised consulting expert, with proven thought leadership within the field of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures
  • Long lasting Experience in selling complex full cycle MA&D IT services & digital projects and establishing a practice, capable of enlarging the business’ market share
  • Previous leadership experience within a services organisation, mentoring and guiding teams of consultants under direct leadership, as well as indirect and matrixed teams to harness talent, whilst delivering overall client satisfaction
  • Strong networks, relationships and involvement within Consumer Goods, Retail or Logistics and a deep industry specific knowledge of its trends and strategies; visible within other professional organisations
  • Entrepreneurial ability to build pipeline and deftly manage supply line, both through self-controlled vertical consultants and dependent horizontal Infosys Consulting and offshore Infosys Limited resources
  • Ability to operate and excel in a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Strong presentation skills; experienced and comfortable presenting to large groups and delivering inspiring and engaging presentations
  • Intuitive ability to represent complex concepts in a clear, concise, and compelling way
  • Collaborative team player, with a willingness to lead by example
  • Inspiring leadership style with an ability to motivate direct and indirect internal teams, as well as clients, to push the boundaries of what they thought was possible. Ideally, the Associate Partner will onboard appropriate candidates to build an industry specific MA&D team
  • Passionate about disruptive innovation and transformational ideas

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required
  • 20+ years of professional experience in a consulting discipline environment or managing teams in an operating environment, in either scenario, experience focused on MA&D, Restructuring, Turnaround, Due Diligence (Financial, Corporate, Customer and IT) and Value Creation at a directly competitive organisation, leading management consulting or tech services business
  • Proven partner, 10+ Years of experience driving sales cycles and directly managing teams; able to generate consistent consulting revenue through industry and content expertise
  • Established credentials of successfully managing large MA&D programmes from inception to completion
  • Experience in defining the role of IT in Post-Merger Integration Value Realisation
  • Proven track record of driving results and exceeding client expectations
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to define trends across CRL sectors and articulate their impact on clients’ business and strategic choices
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively to identify opportunities for value creation
  • Proven team leadership, both internal, external and via third parties
  • Strong communication skills, developed within a meaningful and relevant consulting environment
  • Proven expertise at leading major transformational programs within Consumer Goods, Retail or Logistics
  • Connectivity and network within the broader CRL ecosystem
  • Strong business acumen, with fast analytical skills and ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance and organisational design
  • Fluent in verbal and business English

Ideal education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or business, finance or a related field
  • MBA from a top-tier institution is highly desirable
