Associate Project Architect - International High-end Design Studio

We have a superb opportunity for an Associate Architect to join an award-winning multidisciplinary international high-end studio and lead on some iconic luxury international projects.


The company has around 60 people, 15 of which are located in London and working on projects primarily in the Middle East. This practice specialises in master planning, architecture, interior, and landscape design services. The successful Associate Project Architect will cover many project types, scales, and stages. Established in 2012 the studio has built a diverse portfolio including high-profile residential, leisure, and commercial projects. Now looking to expand their client base in the UK and Middle East, this is the perfect time for the right Associate Project Architect to join the team.


The Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of architectural projects
  • Guide the architectural project team through close collaboration with project leadership to achieve design, technical, and financial success
  • Manage and coordinate project teams consisting of architects
  • Collaborate with partners and senior team members to prepare, issue, and manage compliance plans, aligning project goals with budget, deliverables, and schedule
  • Develop project budgets and schedules, tracking progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, address concerns, and provide progress updates
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Oversee the workload and deadlines for oneself and others, interacting with practice leadership and guiding less experienced staff.


Skills & Experience required for the role

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in architecture, with at least two years in project management or team leadership roles
  • Excellent creative design capabilities demonstrated by a portfolio
  • Strong graphic, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to inspire and lead others by example, participate in staff mentoring and training, and clearly define team member expectations and responsibilities
  • Experience in all stages of design and construction administration
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with and support the design team
  • Proactive, efficient, and systematic approach to work within an energetic and fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D software including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
