Job Description

My client is looking for an individual with practical experience of environmental coordination, assessment and team management to join and lead their Environmental Management team in Glasgow. Key areas of growth in this region include the Water market and the Energy market supporting various energy companies and also work with a range of Local Authorities.

You will work collaboratively with a range of technical specialists on a broad range of projects, lead and coordinate Environmental Impacts Assessments (EIA) and related deliverables, work closely with clients, develop new areas of business and mentor colleagues in the team.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an environmental or related discipline and have a comprehensive understanding of all the technical expertise required for an EIA comprehensive experience in Environmental Management.


Responsibilities

  • on the coordination and delivery of environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisals and environmental management;
  • managing a team of environmental professionals & liaising with Practice Management to coordinate the running of the Environmental Management team in London;
  • for programme and commercial aspects including budget control.
  • high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes;
  • to manage clients’ needs in a confident, professional manner;
  • on bid preparation and develop new areas of business for the team;
  • Continual Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with requirements of chosen professional institute also mentoring and assisting with staff development


Requirements

  • or Masters in an environmental or science subject;
  • with relevant post-graduate experience (ideally within a consultancy environment);
  • working major infrastructure projects;
  • knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise;
  • of leadership within multidisciplinary teams; experience in Report writing, verbal and presentation skills and able to review the work of others to ensure quality will be preferred;
