ROLE: Technical Manager

REPORTS TO: Client Services Manager

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

SALARY PACKAGE: £55,000 - £65,000

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week

LOCATION: London

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Manager’s primary function is to support the on-site Engineering team and provide high-level AV services & technical support to Kinly supported locations. Technical management of clients’ AV estate, onsite in London and remotely for other sites.

The position also involves a high degree of exposure, working with senior management teams to deliver real time AV services and incident management in line with existing SLA’s

The Technical Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical management of the onsite AV systems globally
  • First point of contact for L2 issues escalated by Engineers
  • Work closely with Deloitte global IT/UC/AV counterparts
  • Deliver ongoing ‘best-practice’ training to in-house Engineers and IT support to ensure standards are being upheld in use of AV Equipment
  • Perform and document AV Firmware updates where necessary
  • Perform and document AV Software updates where necessary
  • Build relationships with AV partners such as Crestron/Cisco and be aware of future updates that may affect Deloitte and its’ AV systems
  • Ensure Operational availability of all AV enabled meeting rooms and all other AV environments
  • Incident management using ServiceNow
  • Work with Deloitte UC team on new projects
  • Assist the CSM and Service Manager with technical elements of recruitment
  • Dissemination of information to all interested parties e.g. room serviceability state to key users
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with counterparts within the clients’ organisation
  • Assist CSM and Service Manager in team meetings to discuss service and operational issues

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Commitment to a program of continued professional development as part of the wider Kinly Managed Onsite Services team
  • Keep up to date with standardisation guidelines across Deloitte AV estate
  • Skills Gap Analysis – Assist CSM and Service Manager to identify areas required for technical training and development for Engineering team
  • Keep all personal AV qualifications and training up to date and relevant

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS

  • A deep technical understanding of digital and analogue audio and video signal processing standards and protocols
  • Familiarity with audio-visual engineering disciplines associated with AV equipped meeting rooms and event spaces
  • QSYS experience
  • Experience working in a Crestron environment
  • Good Network understanding
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience in the use of Service Management Tools
  • 3+ years industry experience in fields relating to technical management of AV environments
  • 3+ years technical fault-finding experience, preferably demonstrated through a service desk or field service environment
  • Possesses high quality communication skills, both verbal and written, and is capable of articulating information concisely
  • Has a positive customer focused attitude
  • Can communicate technical details with customers
  • Calm and composed when working under pressure
  • Capable of organising their own workload
