Audit Manager - Top 30 Firm - City of London
Would you like the chance to work for a large Top 30 accountancy firm which offers a small company, family feel? Would you like to have your own portfolio of clients with turnovers up to £100m?
If so, our client requires an experienced manager with a professional services background to work within their Audit and Accounts department. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients and will manage the client relationship, ensuring that expectations are met.
The role will involve planning, supervising, and reviewing audit, accounts, and corporation tax with an approximately 70% Audit and 30% Accounts and Tax workload. You will also supervise junior staff, assisting them with technical queries and professional development (e.g., conducting appraisals) and may have the chance to get involved in recruitment of new staff. The role will also include performing billing management and assisting in generating new business.
The successful Audit Manager will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualified experience in a UK practice
- Have proven audit experience with a wide range of clients
- Have proficient technical ability
- Have an awareness of corporate tax, personal tax, and indirect tax
- Have proven leadership and supervisory skills
- A good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft and preferably PROaudit, AP, and Alphatax
