Job Description:
A pharmaceutical client is seeking to hire an Automation Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of projects within their SMART factory programme for the production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of automation projects to meet strategic business objectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the automation transformation strategy.
- Management of the specification, design, development, and handover of automation systems in a secure and compliant manner.
- Generation of project management documentation approved at appropriate gate reviews including:
Proposal Charter Execution Plan (PEP) Report
- Responsible for compiling project status reports (summary of current activities, financial updates, milestones, and risk logs) for the project sponsor, leadership, and appropriate steering committees.
- Will ensure Good Engineering Practices (GEP) are employed in the design, installation, and commissioning of assets.
Key Requirements:
- Experience delivering automation projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience from design through to configuration, implementation, commissioning, and validation.

- To define and articulate business cases / project proposals that could lead to opportunities for the business.
- Project management experience attained within the pharmaceutical / medical device industry, particularly in projects related to advanced robotics, cobots, or mobile robotics.
