Job Description
Expleo are seeking an Automotive Exteriors Engineer to work within a globally successful automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.
The successful Engineer will be required to develop exterior visibility parts including headlamps, mirrors and wiper systems.
Responsibilities of the Exteriors Engineer include:
• Support development of commodity strategies to strengthen product competitiveness
• Managing in-development parts and suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery target
• Bill of Materials management
• Participate in design reviews, sharing knowledge and experience
Background and experience required for the Exteriors Engineer position:
• You will ideally be degree educated
• Experience of exteriors lighting, mirrors and / or visibility parts development within Automotive
• Experience of Microsoft Office systems
• Knowledge of NX CAD and TeamCenter is desirable
Travel is required within the role of Exteriors Engineer, including travel to other sites to provide build support and styling design reviews, and also to suppliers for part inspections and technical meetings.
