Here’s what you probably want to know about who ‘we’ are…
Optimax is the UK’s longest established eye surgery specialists & market leader in Refractive Eye Surgery, with 20 locations Nationwide. We are keen to engage enthusiastic, well presented Optometrists (preferably locum but employed posts will be considered) with strong interpersonal and communication skills for our Eye Clinics across the UK. You will be working with our own private patients as well as NHS lists carried out in our clinic thereby supporting our efforts to improve NHS capacity and reduce waiting times for much needed cataract procedures.
We will consider suitable applications from any area of the UK but we are specifically looking to fill positions in Maidstone.
You do not need previous experience in the field of refractive eye surgery as we will provide all necessary training with our experienced team of specialised Optometrists. Previous experience in an NHS setting will be advantageous.

*Responsibilities for Optometrist:*
· Conduct pre-treatment consultation & post-treatment aftercare appointments
· Provide treatment recommendations based on your clinical findings during consultation
· Communicate regularly with staff regarding the treatment recommendation and/or post-operative care of patients
The Company offers the following treatment ranges:
· LASIK Intralase Wavefront
· LASEK Wavefront
· Cataracts/Refractive Lens Exchange
· Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)
· Corneal Collagen Cross Linking
*Requirements for Optometrist:*
· Minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience (essential)
· Previous experience in the field of refractive surgery (advantageous but not essential)
· Previous experience in an NHS setting (advantageous but not essential)
· Flexibility with working hours and working days

Salary: £41,800.00-£71,500.00 per year
