All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at easipetcare, Chatham!
Our Registered Veterinary Nurses are the absolute back bone of our practice, and generally have a hand in most areas of the day to day which include carrying out schedule 3 procedures (subject to appropriate training), anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, looking after our inpatient care, carrying out various types of nurse clinics, completing laboratory duties and much more! There will also be some reception duties when needed such as: taking telephone calls/inpatient enquiries, stock control and ordering and unpacking orders.
Our Registered Veterinary Nurses need to ensure that patient care meets the required high standard that we expect from our nursing team. In return, we love to provide the opportunity to become a clinical coach in the future. You will be supporting the Head Nurse in the supervision/training of our Student Veterinary Nurses & Animal Nursing Assistants when on shift and maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the practice by upholding the practice’ infection control procedures.
Fix or flex – work life balance that works for you
We try to keep things interesting/varied here at easipetcare, so our Registered Veterinary Nurses typically work full time, 40 hours per week, across 4/5 days, consisting of either an early shift (8:00 am to 4.30 pm) or a late (11:00 am to 7.30 pm). Our Nurses also work 1 in 3 Saturdays and in turn receive time off in lieu the following week and there is no OOH. However, we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
Salary up to £29,000 per annum depending on experience
