Job Title: Senior/Principal Systems Engineer – System Architect
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Frimley, Bristol, Portsmouth, Weymouth and Brough. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:
Understanding our customers’ challenging needs and acting as a subject matter expert; analysing, preparing and communicating these through the use of architectural methodologies
Developing complex system architectures and sub-systems and providing evidence of fitness for purpose
Supporting the development of our Architecture capability through workshops, direct support to other Engineering teams and is part of a growing community of System Engineers
Taking accountability for technical work packages
Providing leadership, guidance and coaching to other engineers
Steering new systems development through implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes
Working with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues
Your skills and experiences:
Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science) or equivalent industry / armed forces experience.
Significant experience in System Architecture definition and development using frameworks such as: MoDAF, TOSAF, SOSAF, NAF, UAF etc.
Significant experience with MBSE tools sets (Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA), Rhapsody, Capella, Cameo Systems Modeler,)
Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
Desirable:
Experience undertaking other Systems Engineering activities. This should include some combination of:
Requirements Engineering and Management (DOORs)
Systems Integration, Validation, Verification
Implementing and Governing Engineering Lifecycles
Defining and managing System interfaces
