The Role
Here at Andale Veterinary Centre we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to work on a full time or part-time basis.
Full time hours are 4.5 days per week (40 hrs) but part time applications are welcomed, we are also open to the option of part days/school hours. The normal working week consists of days of 9:00am -7:00pm with a half day each week. The mornings are a mix of operating or consulting from 9:00am - 12:00pm with 1-hour admin at the end of the morning. Afternoon consultations start at 2:00pm and run through until 6:30pm with half an hour admin built-in.
Bank holidays are limited and shared out fairly. We are open Saturday mornings, and our Vets work 1:3, consulting 9:00am – 12:00pm with breakfast included and time in lieu given back the following Friday afternoon, making a nice long weekend every third week.
There are no out of hours with this role as cover is provided by Vets Now, no requirement for bank holiday work. There is also some flexibility in the days we require cover, we are happy to discuss different options if something works best for you.

The salary for this role is up to £63,000 pro rata dependant on experience. We also offer a relocation allowance of up to £5000 and a welcome bonus of up to £1500
About Us
Andale is a single site purpose-built small animal practice with an established client base and a supportive and friendly team. We have off road parking and two operating theatres, in-house laboratory, tonometry and a multi parameter. We have separate dog and cat wards, an imaging room including digital x-ray and ultrasound. We are a RCVS accredited training practice and an RCVS General Practice accredited. We are a cat friendly clinic and working towards being a rabbit-friendly practice also. Andale is situated close to Liverpool and Cheshire with easy access to North wales.
Our close-knit team is made up of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and a team of 6 Receptionists. We provide a high standard of care, and we value and encourage professional growth for all our staff. We encourage staff discussion and input through monthly meetings and regular appraisals. Amongst our Vet team, we have 2 certificate holders. We also have regular nights out and chippy Fridays along with a half-day shopping at Christmas.
Applicant Requirements
The role would suit a vet who enjoys all aspects of first opinion practice. The successful candidate would need excellent communication skills and enjoy dealing with clients. In return we would offer a supportive clinic with opportunities to further and develop your career.
