An opportunity has arisen for an Insurance Technician to join the Technical Services team.


Technical Services is a highly professional and vitally important team within UIB, providing exceptional service to external and internal stakeholders. The team consists of many highly experienced individuals focusing on several lines of business ranging from Aviation and Marine to Proportional Treaty and Non-Proportional Treaty. The team are responsible for providing the delivery of all post-bind processing, which includes risk and premium processing, issuance of client documentation, submission of documentation to the London Market bureaux, liaison with brokers, monitoring of paid and unpaid premiums and electronic filing of documentation. The team also utilise Tableau daily to monitor workflow, ensuring key performance indicators are met.


As an Insurance Technician you will provide technical support and backup to the Aviation/Technical Services team. You will play a pivotal role in processing technical documentation related to all Pre-Placement and Post-Placement activities including MRC slip creation, evidence of cover, submission preparation, renewal activities and provide general technical support to the wider team. You will assist with client correspondence (liaising with underwriters and clients when/if required) to ensure appropriate coverage and documentation is processed/maintained that meets the needs of the client and conforms to company quality standards.


ABOUT YOU

  • Insurance industry background (broker or underwriter) with technical knowledge of risks and insurance products/solutions.
  • London market and international experience preferably
  • London Market Insurance Essentials (LM1) and London Market Insurance Principles and Practices (LM2) or equivalent experience (preferable)
  • Technical insurance: Cert Cll or equivalent (preferable)
  • Good customer service background
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Ability to relay and ensure understanding of critical information
  • Process driven (able to achieve deadlines)
  • Highly accurate and detail orientated
  • Good IT literacy skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Always demonstrate integrity
