Job descriptionAs a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will be supporting patients outside of the hospital environment, providing individualised care and practical advice. You will be working as part of a hard-working team helping to make a positive difference in peoples lives, helping them overcome any problems that they may have.Key Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited too:Supporting a range of patients with mental health conditions, whilst carrying out recovery and support activitiesEducating the local community on mental health issuesDemonstrating an enhanced understanding of Mental Health signs and symptoms, as well as being able to support and teach junior staff to develop their own understanding of mental health signs and symptomsRecognising and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour in line with Trust policies and trainingDemonstrating in depth knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of LibertyContributing to an effective communication process with appropriate and accurate information to patients, carers, family, and friendsWorking in partnership with other professionals when necessaryRequirements:Degree relevant1+ years working as a CPN/RMN in the UKEnhanced DBS. Dated within the last 12 months- on the update service?
