BESS Manager
Are you passionate about energy storage systems and looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector? As the go-to person for energy storage system specification and optimization, you'll play a critical role in supporting various teams to ensure we identify the best market options and optimize the value of our energy storage assets under construction and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Evaluation and Selection: Support the development and EPC teams in evaluating and specifying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from both a technical and commercial standpoint.
- Design Optimization: Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize overall plant configuration, aiming to reduce project costs and enhance performance.
- Contract Management: Negotiate technical specifications and warranties with suppliers and clients to ensure the highest standards and value.
- Market Integration: Understand grid operator requirements and ensure BESS design and control systems meet these needs.
- Operation & Maintenance Support: Provide technical support to the O&M team, resolving operational issues, understanding equipment warranties, and enforcing them as necessary.
Skills & Competencies:
- Extensive expertise in energy storage technologies
- Practical experience across various stages of the energy storage value chain: development, build, commissioning, operation, and revenue optimization.
- Knowledge of the supply chain and the ability to assess the relative merits of different suppliers.
- Preferred experience in the European battery energy storage market, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with the UK grid code and relevant standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
