Job Description
A luxury French beauty brand is looking for a passionate Beauty Therapist to be based in Selfridges, London.
As a Beauty Therapist, you are responsible for achieving your sales targets while promoting the brand image and providing a personalised luxury service to customers.
An overview of your key responsibilities:
- Recommending and selling the products corresponding to each customer’s skin type
- Introducing the benefits of the brand’s loyalty cards and update the customer loyalty

- Advise customers about the 3 axes of the brand (skincare, makeup and perfume) and hair products
- Pro-actively sell products and provide a luxury standard of service to customers
- Be aware of and achieve or exceed sales targets, as set by your boutique manager
- Offer and realise makeover and hair services to customers
- Do beauty enhancements ad make-overs, and confidently explain the benefits of each product
- Recruiting new customers to the brand
- Help in the pre-organisation of events
- Take care of VIP customers, journalists, bloggers, influencers, etc.
- Maintain upkeep of the boutique
- Schedule appointments with the customers
- Drive bookings to achieve occupancy targets of the treatment rooms
- Provide a written report on duties performed each week (sales, activities, etc.)
- Take charge of stock control and the recording of general daily figures/information as needed
- Use Store software and other digital systems to successfully run the counter
We are looking for a NVQ (or equivalent) Level 3 or higher, beauty therapist and previous beauty retail experience is desirable. You need to be passionate about exceptional service and luxury skincare. You must be approachable, friendly and be able to work both independently and as a part of the team to drive treatment services, demonstrate and sell the products of the brand. You will be able to approach and engage with customers at ease, using your strong selling skills to chase that extra sale.
The role requires a passion for learning product knowledge, application techniques, and beauty treatments. Most importantly, you should be tenacious and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
We require you to be flexible to work various hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You will also need to be available for 5-week paid training in Paris.
