Full time Opportunity to become permanent (temp-to-perm) Immediate start   Would you like to work in a purpose-built, forward thinking and innovative independent special school? Would you like to work as part of a team that provides outstanding care and support to young people who may not have had the best start in life?   Long-Term Teachers are working with a fantastic SEN provision that adopts a therapeutic approach to support students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Their priority is based upon building strong, meaningful relationships in order to make the students feel safe and valued.    We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a behaviour support mentor , working on a 1:1 basis with young people in KS2 - KS4 . You will work closely with the students in order to help them engage with their learning, cope with any challenges and have high expectations. Equally, you will adopt a nurturing approach, playing a pivotal role in their emotional and social wellbeing.   About you:   Experienced in working with children in an educational setting or with special educational needs Excellent behaviour management Calm, patient and empathetic Confident in delivering targeted interventions Willingness to engage in training (e.g for Read Write Inc phonics) Good sense of humour Excellent team player Able to drive and have access to your own car   This will be a full time position, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, term time only.
