Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Hand Joiner. As a Bench Hand Joiner, you will play a crucial role in crafting and assembling high-quality joinery products. This position requires a combination of woodworking expertise, precision, and a passion for craftsmanship. Responsibilities: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components to construct various joinery products such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production of joinery items. Use hand tools and woodworking machinery with precision to fabricate and finish wooden components. Perform tasks such as planning, sanding, shaping, and fitting components to achieve desired finishes. Collaborate with team members, including designers and other joiners, to ensure project requirements are met. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following best practices for woodworking and workshop safety. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Assist in the development and improvement of joinery techniques and processes. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or similar woodworking role. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Attention to detail and a passion for crafting high-quality joinery products. Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
