Bid Writer | £55,000 - £60,000 package | Hertfordshire / London | Main Contractor | Permanent
Get your quill and parchment ready. It’s time to write some bids.
Recruiters are often criticised for embellishing jobs and making them sound better than they actually are but there is no need for me to do that with a role like this.
So, to kick things off, I am looking for a proper Bid Writer to join a main contractor based in Hertfordshire / North London.
Let’s be clear – this is not a role for a Bid Coordinator. Nor a Bid Manager. This is for a Bid Writer, a master of words with a love of language and the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely without sending the reader to sleep.
On the non-negotiable list is social housing writing experience, as this contractor’s primary offerings revolve around refurbishments, renewals, repairs, roofing (anything beginning with “r” apparently)! And we need this person to be able to hit the ground running and start cracking on with bids immediately with minimal supervision.
While this is initially a predominantly office based role, there is a degree of flexibility, with a day from home available from the outset with the potential of increasing this to 2 days a week at home.
As if that wasn’t enough, you will be reporting to a fantastic leader and working alongside a genuinely lovely bid team so your integration will be nice and smooth.
