Our client is seeking a Bid Writer with a background in Construction or Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling proposals and bid documents for Civil Engineering projects, ranging from infrastructure upgrades to site development and transportation initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand project requirements for Civil Engineering bids and proposals.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of project specifications, client requirements, and industry trends to tailor bid responses and differentiate our company from competitors.
- Write and edit clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content that effectively communicates the technical approach, value proposition, and project benefits to clients.
- Develop proposal outlines, schedules, and compliance matrices to ensure that bid responses are organised, comprehensive, and responsive to client needs.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, technical illustrators, and other team members to create visually appealing and professionally formatted proposal documents.
- Manage the bid development process, including document version control, review cycles, and approval workflows, to meet submission deadlines and quality standards.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and partner organisations to obtain pricing, technical information, and other supporting documentation for inclusion in bid submissions.
- Conduct proposal debriefings and post-submission analyses to gather feedback, identify lessons learned, and improve the effectiveness of future bid efforts.
- Maintain a library of reusable content, boilerplate language, and best practices for bid writing to streamline the proposal development process and ensure consistency across submissions.
- Stay informed about industry developments, market opportunities, and client preferences to inform bid strategies and enhance our competitive positioning in the marketplace.
