**Role is remote but attendance in our Ripponden office is required 3/4 times a month**

About our business


Circuit provides student laundries to 76% of the U.K’s universities and over 80% of PBSA’s. Our laundries operate on an income share basis, and we take overall responsibility to the facilities. This includes the supply and installation of the equipment, all maintenance and the promotion and marketing of the services.

In recent years we have come seen greater competition within the market so innovation with our rooms and how we support our clients will be critical to maintaining our market position.


Role overview


As part of Circuits commercial team, you will be responsible for the strategy to develop and deliver our Bids and Tenders process. You will lead and manage the research required to identify the specific requirement of each client, attend exploratory meetings define their broader goals and influence the overall strategic direction of the business to meet these.

You will take overall responsibility to all collateral required to complete submission and ensure we have a library of material that can be modified to suit each client. This would include material on the broader company activities in areas such as ESG and social values.

You will be our thought leader on the development of market leading submissions and take overall responsibility of the quality of our submissions.


Key tasks


  • To understand the organisation’s strategy and goals, understanding our process to secure tenders and bids operating within and developing solutions that help achieve the business and functional objectives.
  • Developing a first-class bids and tender process to support our growth strategy
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to gain intelligence on current and emerging products, services and pricing structures
  • To work with the Circuit Commercial team on providing advice and guidance on large or complex bids/Tenders
  • Responsible for planning and mapping change, by understanding the needs of the business and delivering strategies and tactics to achieve success in the tendering and bids function.
  • Oversees all aspects of proposal preparation, ensuring quality, compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner with the support of the wider commercial team.
  • Acts as a coach for leading sales teams and guiding colleagues through the entire deal cycle and help them score large deals for the business.
  • Support the commercial team in their pricing strategies for bids using market analysis and research.


People Leadership


  • Support the Circuit MD to set clear objectives for your team members providing regular feedback on performance.
  • Coach and develop the team to ensure they fully understand any development within the market and have the skills to investigate our customers need thoroughly.
  • Work in conjunction with the JLA Bids & Tender team to share best practice and develop group wide strategies.


Service Delivery


  • Demonstrate an ability to manage timelines for both you and Circuit commercial team.
  • Ensure we have sufficient time for the assessment, production and delivery of a successful bid.
  • Manage day to day tasks alongside the strategic development of our bids and tender process.
  • Ensure we delivery industry leading bids & tenders to the deadlines set you set a culture of excellence throughout the Circuit team.

  • Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impact on your role
  • Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business

Experience


  • Successful track record of delivering tendering and bids
  • Experience securing large contracts in the public sector
  • An understanding of current public sector procurement policies
  • Knowledge of document management methods
  • Working in a fast paced business
