Biteback Publishing: Marketing and Sales Executive

We're looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-organised Marketing and Sales Executive to join our fast-paced, busy sales and marketing department.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team in a leading independent publishing house, publishing books on politics, current affairs, autobiography/memoir, history, espionage and sport.

The position will involve:

1. Creating and implementing online marketing strategies for new and backlist titles
2. Looking after our online representation and social media platforms
3. Managing and creating content for our website
4. Creating and distributing a monthly newsletter
5. Liaising with customers and distributors to process website orders
6. Providing general support to the sales, marketing and publicity teams

The successful candidate will be:

1. Imaginative and self-motivated
2. Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
3. A team player

They will also have exceptional practical knowledge of all social media platforms, and excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ideally, this is a position for someone looking for their second or third job within publishing.
