This is an exciting career opportunity - a rare chance to manage a newly opened Paint and Decorating store in Reading!
As the Branch Manager you will need a sound knowledge of the decorating industry, in particular paints, with the tenacity to deliver objectives and achieve targets.
Candidates must have the ability to identify new market and product opportunities and provide excellent customer service. This will require good communication skills both internally and externally.

The branch is based in a busy location and we are the UK's largest trade paint merchant / distributor. You would initially be leading a small team of 3 people, this will grow as the business grows.
The working environment is very similar to that of a builders merchants, plumbers merchants or general building materials / trade sales environment, so if you work within a builders merchants, plumbers merchants, paint merchants or the wider construction supplies sector, you may have the transferable skills and industry knowledge we need! Specific product knowledge can be taught.
This role requires a mix of sales and operational management skills. If you're an ambitious Assistant Branch Manager with the right attitude, then you will certainly be considered. However, sales and management experience is crucial.
We have an ambitious but well controlled expansion plan that successfully started last year and Reading is the latest addition to the branch network.
