We are looking for an enthusiastic  Breakfast Chef  to join our Kitchen team at The Barnsdale. Our hotel overlooks the beautiful Rutland landscape with a picturesque courtyard, a kitchen brigade providing fine dining using many ingredients sourced from the wealth of fine produce found in the locality. Encircled by idyllic surroundings on the north shore of Rutland Water, the hotel is a tranquil rural haven, close to the charming market towns of Oakham and Uppingham. What we're looking for you to demonstrate:  Stock Management:  Maintain all stocks under optimal conditions. Mise en Place:  Prepare all mise en place freshly and on time. Recipe Adherence:  Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the correct recipes and quantities. Presentation:  Ensure dishes reach the hot plate or pass with the correct garnish, portion size, and presentation. Cleanliness:  Keep your section clean and tidy at all times. Communication:  Promptly communicate any anticipated shortages to the Head Chef. Work Environment:  Maintain a professional work environment, treating all staff fairly and with courtesy. Leadership:  Deputise in the Head Chef’s absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed. Professional Development:  Attend training courses and seminars as required, and strive to study management subjects for future advancement. Compliance:  Adhere to all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health, and Safety, ensuring they are strictly followed and recorded correctly. Experience: We're looking for 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, however we welcome applications from Chefs with tons of personality, and a willingness to learn with us.
