Job Description
The Build Engineer will deliver all ongoing Sitec build requirements across the Region. Day to day work to vary from blow/spicing/testing to patching and MDU build depending on current requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Blow / Splice / Test of fibre cables across MDU and Infill workstreams
- Physical build on MDU projects
- Patching of CF network at SN/ASN level
- Fault finding across live networks
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Working knowledge of fibre networks and PIA
Desirable:
- SA001
- SA002 S7, S8
- History of working on BT, CityFibre and Virgin Media Network
- Understanding of MDU build
- Contractor management
Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- Blow, Splice and testing experience
- IOLM/OTDR/Light meter reading
Desirable:
- Able to read civils diagrams
- Understanding of As built documentation
Person Specification:
- Must have a current UK Driving Licence
- Must be prepared to travel, with the occasional stay away from home
- Self starter who is keen to learn and complete work to a high specification
- Able to work alone and within a team
- Can do attitude
