The Governing Body of Anderton Park Primary School are seeking to appoint a Building Services Manager who will play a key role in ensuring the school premises, grounds and associated facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will:

  • be someone who values relationships, demonstrates determination and sparkle
  • to be hardworking and flexible and able to meet the physical elements detailed in the job description
  • be professional, committed, friendly, diligent
  • have previous experience in this role, preferably in a school setting
  • support the Senior Leadership Team in the delivery of the appropriate legal duties and responsibilities
  • be able to show initiative and work under pressure demonstrating innovative practice
  • ensure highest standards of health and safety, risk management, statutory testing, security are maintained at all times
  • ensure accurate, consistent records are kept for all statutory compliance checks
  • undertake duties including supervision of the site, contractors and cleaning staff
  • to ensure daily checks for signs of break ins or vandalism at the commencement and end of the shift pattern
  • to share responsibility for the daily security of the site to include opening and locking of the premises at the commencement and end of the shift pattern
  • promote the agreed vision and aims of the school
  • set an example of personal integrity and professionalism with good interpersonal skills, able to negotiate, persuade and influence
  • committed to promoting the Equality Act 2010
  • have a good understanding of the role all school staff have in safeguarding children

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
