Job Description

The Business:

Our client are a multidisciplinary Construction consultancy with offices based throughout the UK. With a team including project managers, building surveyors, quantity surveyors and many more professions, our client have a varied and interesting portfolio and project pipeline. Their tailored and cost-effective approach to work has earnt them a reputation that is second to none within the industry resulting in an abundance of new work coming through their doors.

Because of this the business is looking to expand their building surveying capacity and are looking for an experienced building surveyor to join the team and work on a number of interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Giving guidance on requests, including technical concerns related to client purchases as well as the sale and refinancing of accumulated assets.
  • Organizing building renovation, repurposing, or remediation projects using a variety of contract types.
  • Take part in the delivery of professional services, such as advise on building faults, Party Wall issues, and dilapidations.
  • Creating reports for technical due diligence.
  • The creation of pathology surveys for buildings.
  • Keeping an eye on the performance of the project design teams and the construction operations.
  • Writing reports for planned preventative maintenance.

About you:

  • MRICS-certified building surveyor or pursuing certification via APC.
  • A track record of success in the real estate industry, at the very least in the private sector, and preferably elsewhere.
  • Building surveyor who is articulate, motivated, and ambitious and who wants to expand their experience in the aforementioned fields.
  • Ability to work alone and to take on assignments and see them through to accomplishment.
  • Poses a driver's licence and a vehicle.
  • Traveling is required in order to attend regular client/site meetings.
  • Possessing thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the industry, together with solid terminology knowledge for the construction sector.
  • excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • a team player with the capacity to act on their own initiative and with little direction.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
