About the department:

We have an established and dedicated team of 600 employees within our Asset Management department.

Our team prides itself on investing in our own people to deliver first class property based services across the Group, covering a broad range of disciplines from reactive, planned and grounds maintenance to property refurbishments, estate services, building safety and compliance.

Role Information:

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Asset Management Team. The successful candidate will work within our Maintenance Team, undertaking thorough surveys within our customer’s homes for legal disrepair cases.

With a sound technical background you will manage an extensive case load, survey properties using specialist equipment to be able to diagnose building defects and failures, document your findings with a detailed report with supporting photographs and evidence and provide an estimate of the cost and time frame for the repairs.

You will have excellent customer service skills, experience of working in a Social Housing environment and ability to demonstrate knowledge of all relevant legislation and Health & Safety regulations including; Decent Homes, Party Wall Act, CDM and Asbestos.
