???? Why join us?

Since 2021, we’ve built up a great team of engineers in the UK & Denmark (100+), responsible for solving the largest technology replatforming project ever in the travel industry. As we roll out our new core platform in 2024, it's a genuinely exciting time to join us as we continue to innovate, evolve and grow our platforms with one simple vision and aim: "to delight our owners and guests."

Do you want to join in the fun of transforming the travel industry?

Position: Business Analyst | Reservations Management Team (ResMan)

???? What team will you be joining?

“We’re the Reservation Management team, or ResMan for short. We look after the back-end systems that manage booking data at Awaze. Think APIs, events and a UI for call centre agents. Whilst these systems were at one time fit for purpose, as we continue to bring our entire estate together, we're embarking on an exciting rebuild journey as we build out a new single common Reservations platform.“

???? Day-to-day:

You’ll be working predominantly on our Reservation Manager product, aligning closely with our Reservation Manager Product Manager to gather future and operational requirements, to deliver new tech solutions.

We know it sounds cliché, but this is genuinely a role where no two days are the same.

  • You’ll be proactive identifying business challenges and looking for new ways of solving them, acting as the bridge between the business, the customer and technology.

  • We know it sounds simple, but a key part of your role will be communication, to ensure that all key parties understand the requirements effectively.

  • You’ll create epics and user stories, document and explain new requirements including process flows, and record NFRs to ensure that we continue to build a robust, extensible, supportable strategic core product.

  • You will present to other Awaze Product areas the new Reservation Manager technologies and their functional/ engineering capabilities to ensure revenue, customer and owner satisfaction goals are met.

  • Your role will be to ensure that the products created support the company’s overall strategy and goals, and that it delivers priorities features and corresponding justification.

???? Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who loves the product world and thrives on getting stuff done.

And ideally, we’d love for you to have:

  • Experience of working on defining requirements for reservation/booking systems.
  • The ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and understand how to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Conceptual thinking across different services and products.
  • Demonstrated success by defining and launching excellent capabilities on Reservation Manager.
  • The ability to influence without authority and build stakeholders across all business functions.
  • Understanding and experience of core development skills – architecture, requirements gathering, testing and briefs.
  • Experience of working with a high degree of independence and maturity of judgment to resolve complex and at times conflicting guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills to resolve conflicting stakeholder opinions through data and analysis, in order to drive customer-centric change and transformation.
  • Ability to work with other Product Teams in the Core Product team to ensure alignment across the whole product domain.

???? What will we offer you?

Upon joining, we’ll set out your journey with us with a personalised competency framework and we’ll give you the freedom to inform the best way of working to get the job done and help us shape the culture of our international teams.

We’ll also reward you with:

  • Annual Bonus Scheme
  • 25 days holidays (plus the option to buy up to 5 additional days)
  • Holiday Discounts (18% to 20% discount across all AWAZE brands)
  • Pension contribution scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Personal training allowance via Sunlight
  • 35 hour working week
  • Hybrid working (2 days office based in Manchester)
  • Meeting free lunch policy
