Business Analyst / Project Manager - Risk TechnologyMillennium is a top tier global hedge fund with a strong commitment to leveraging innovations in technology and data science to solve complex problems for the business. We are assembling a strong Risk Technology team to build our next generation Risk Platform. As a Business Analyst/Project Manager (BAPM) role supporting the Risk Tech team, you will be responsible for requirements documentation, project delivery management, and collaboration with all teams involved in the software development lifecycle. You will work closely Portfolio and Risk Managers to understand their requirements, synthesize them into logical development tasks, and translate them into specifications for developers to implement.Principal ResponsibilitiesInterface with stakeholders across the organization at multiple levels of seniorityDevelop and document business requirements across risk reporting, including the distillation of many reports into common componentsCreate a BOW featuring tech deliverables based on common components mapped to user requirements, & prioritize them in coordination with risk analysts and developersEnforce project governance and ensure consistent communication with stakeholdersAssist development teams by resolving implementation questions through consultation with risk analystsDefine and template appropriate test strategies & test cases required to detect issues with changesAssist with the UAT process and testing of changesCommunicate and coordinate production releasesQualifications/Skills RequiredSubstantial relevant experience in business analysis or product development, interfacing with business users and technologistsPrevious experience facing off to Market Risk stakeholders and an understanding of risk concepts preferableAbility to perform in-depth analysis of risk reports and synthesize common data components, leveraging relevant experience in financeKnowledge of SQL and database tools. Additional data analysis skills an advantage, including ability to step through codeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Visio or other Flow Charting system to create detailed workflowsExperience coordinating projects through the development lifecycleAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an independent/self-starter work ethic
