This role focuses on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, maximising sales opportunities, and consistently meeting revenue targets. You will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing partnerships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction across their celebrated product lines. Key tasks Drive new business development in Foodservice and wholesale markets whilst managing and growing existing customer relationships. Respond promptly to inquiries, proactively target new customers, and ensure exceptional order fulfilment. Oversee multiple projects, prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and support sales through customer visits, presentations, and sample arrangements. Collaborate with senior managers on marketing strategy, monitor retailer systems for trends, and always adhere to GDPR guidelines. About You The successful candidate will have a track record in sales, ideally within the food or FMCG industry, with strong commercial awareness and initiative to exceed customer expectations. Confidence, professionalism, and tact in customer interactions, alongside excellent account management and organisational abilities. Exceptional accuracy, time management, and the ability to prioritise workloads independently. Experience with Sage Line 50/200, Microsoft Office, and Excel. A valid driving license is required. More details The Business Development Manager job is based in Greater Manchester and is paying up to £35,000 according to your experience with an additional £5000 car allowance. The package includes 28 days holiday, Healthcare scheme, Long service awards starting from 5 years. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
