Business Development Manager at Visionary Global Design Studio

Are you a Business Development Manager with a passion for architecture and urban planning, looking to shape the future of design on an international scale? Here’s a chance to bring your expertise to a global design studio with a mission to innovate and inspire across continents.

We are representing an acclaimed design studio, known for its diverse portfolio that includes everything from urban playgrounds and high-end gastronomy environments to revolutionary housing projects and educational facilities nestled in breathtaking landscapes.

Their groundbreaking work extends to redefining transportation and exploring sustainable living solutions on water and beyond Earth.

This studio is characterized by its lack of conventional hierarchy, fostering a collaborative culture where knowledge and ideas flow freely. Their team benefits from in-house educational programs and guest lectures from industry leaders, all designed to cultivate an environment of continuous learning and mutual inspiration.

Currently, they are looking to enhance their London-based Business Development team by adding an experienced Business Development Manager. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Business Development and collaborate closely with senior team members across their international offices, including New York, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Shenzhen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently produce and strategize content while aligning with the broader business goals.
  • Drive the creation of new business and spearhead initiatives that strengthen the studio's market presence primarily in the UK, with opportunities to engage in the Middle East.
  • Manage multiple project pursuits from conception through to completion, including leading on RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and distinguishing the studio's offerings during the proposal stages.
  • Develop and maintain fruitful relationships with clients, consultants, and collaborators, enhancing the studio’s network and influence.
  • Represent the studio at key events and conferences within the UK, enhancing visibility and engagement with potential clients.

What We Look For:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the construction or design industry, ideally with a solid grasp of UK architecture and urban planning; Middle Eastern market experience is a bonus.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, including all aspects of business acquisitions and client negotiations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.
  • Experience with CRM systems, with a preference for those familiar with Sugar.
  • A proactive, self-disciplined individual who thrives in dynamic settings and is confident in making strategic decisions independently.

This is a full-time position based in London, and applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. The studio offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, reflecting the high standards and expectations of the role.

If you are driven to be part of a studio that is actively shaping the future of our built environment and have the skills to contribute to their ambitious projects, we would love to discuss this exceptional opportunity with you further.

Please apply with your CV and any relevant references, and let’s explore how your vision aligns with their pioneering approach to design.
