The Role:
Responsible for managing and developing key Cloud vendors/partners/platforms, bringing their solutions to the Account Managers and articulate to customers how to meet the challenges of moving and managing a Cloud first environment, to ensure optimal efficiency and performance in a secure manner. Your role will include the following responsibilities:
- Discuss opportunities within customer meetings to upsell and cross-sell the full available portfolio.
- Conduct customer demonstrations/technical overview of products and services.
- Support the general development of the Cloud team, ensuring all technical capability is actively promoted.
- Help in building the strategy from traditional infrastructure to an increasing focus on cloud and hybrid environments, with templated offerings and services.
- Take primary lead on Cloud pipeline and forecasting at an opportunity level, working with vendors, distributors and partners to maximise the deal.
- Identify opportunities and educate Account Managers on key Cloud solutions.
- Produce sales playbooks, engagement processes etc. to help simplify and encourage Account Managers to utilise the Cloud team.
- Actively manage and update Cloud portfolio – with focus on growing vendors such as Microsoft Azure, Hosted VMware vCloud and Backup vendors such as Acronis & Veeam.
- At a high-level, understand the breadth and depth of our key vendor product portfolios.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and surrounding service partners.
- Support marketing with focused Cloud campaigns/events.
Experience:
- Must have a good understanding of cloud computing technologies i.e. Azure, IaaS, PaaS, & SaaS.
- Experience in 'business consultation' or direct 'client engagement' within the technology sector i.e. Presales, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Technical Account Management etc.
- Experienced in discussing and/or delivering enterprise level solutions.
