Team: Within the Offshore Renewables & Energy Transition engineering team, we are at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and also across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and subsea cable projects, and associated infrastructure.

Role: Sitting within the Win function of our Offshore Renewables & Energy Transition engineering business unit, the BD & Sales Manager will report to the Vice President and will champion our business development and sales activities, ensuring we are a recognised supplier of engineering services. The role will be accountable for the development of a sustainable project pipeline whilst providing market guidance and insight to the wider business.

We are flexible on location (Aberdeen, Glasgow & Edinburgh).

Requirements

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development and sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth
  • Ensure the business registered is on applicable supplier frameworks, bid lists and is at the forefront of market opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
  • Set business development and sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular reports to senior leadership on sales metrics, forecasts, and pipeline management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to drive continuous improvement and maintain a competitive edge
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and identify potential business opportunities

Role Requirements include:

  • A hands on approach, with a can do attitude and willingness work with a team at all levels.
  • Degree qualified with demonstrable and progressive experience in business development and sales, with a focus on driving revenue growth. Tendering experience would be a great addition.
  • Be well recognised in industry with demonstrable experience of working in the offshore wind, energy transition and associated sectors.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to key stakeholders out with the organisation
  • Have an interest to actively develop external (client) and internal relationships and be prepared take part in industry working groups and other professional bodies
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools to track and measure sales performance
