Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Insights / Business Analyst / Power BI

This is a superb opportunity for a commercial data analyst or business analyst, with a passion for Power BI and data analysis, looking for a bigger and more challenging role. LeMieux has recently established a Data Warehouse feeding Power BI. We need someone to join the team, interrogate our data and undertake a wide range of data analysis / modelling activities to provide business insights, while creating dashboard reports that aid strategic and tactical decision making at all levels of the business.

You will take ownership of the BI function within the business and be reporting into the head of technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Deliver the reporting requirements of stakeholders, including designing and building effective dashboard layouts.
  • Implement best practices in the extraction, analysis, and presentation/visualising of analytical data to improve the quality of information available to the business.
  • Interrogate the business’s data, processes, and procedures to find opportunities for increased revenue, reduced costs and increased operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Provide guidance, support, expertise, and training in the fields of Power BI, data analysis, and business analysis.

Requirements

  • Expert level Power BI & Excel skills including Power Query & DAX.
  • SQL, Azure, and Microsoft Dynamics experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • You must have a strong understanding of data and modelling best practices.
  • A talent for interpreting data to produce understandable visuals and actionable insights.
  • Strong experience of user requirements gathering. You must be capable of translating the requirements of non-data personnel and prioritising them effectively.
