Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated individual with proven commercial acumen to join a growing and forward thinking company.
Reporting to the senior Trading Controller, you will be responsible for buying within the Beers, Wines and Spirits Category.
You will ideally have experience of the wholesale/retail sector, and with your demonstrable negotiation and influencing skills you will be responsible for developing supplier relationships to ensure the strongest promotional strategy for the category.
The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of achieving sales and margin targets in a fast-moving environment. You will also be highly numerate, have exceptional communication skills and be highly organised.
Experience / Skills
- Procurement: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
- Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Strong and effective negotiator
