Join our Procurement Team at The Compleat Food Group!We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer – Ingredients, to join our outstanding Procurement team in Nottingham!In this role, you will be accountable for optimising Group expenditure across nominated categories and improving company profitability and working capital and provide strategic commercial/competitive advantage to the business and added value to consumers through sourcing and innovation. Who We Are:At The Compleat Food Group, we're on a mission to create delectable food that not only brings joy to your taste buds but also extends love to our planet. Their genuine passion drives the creation of delectable products for UK consumers, prominent retailers, and our thrilling market-leading brands such as Wall's Pastry, Squeaky Bean, and Unearthed.Working Hours:Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 08:00-16:00 – who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday!Your Duties Will Include:Sourcing to specification/business needs of allocated categories meeting requirements for Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost and InnovationSourcing implementation/introduction of new suppliersManagement and measurement of Supplier Performance in line with contract and agreed measuresSetting budgets/targets and providing business forecasts for allocated spend areasDelivering financial targets in line with budgetBusiness partner with stakeholder groups to ensure optimal supply base performanceLeading and manage projects within allocated categoriesEnsuring all expenditure is sourced, permitted and transacted through approved processes within allocated categoriesLeading Procurement function activities and projects as may be required from time to timeContinually seek commercial/competitive advantage throughout the company and help other budget holders achieve their targets through the negotiation of best value.   Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Professional/ Technical experience e.g. strategic sourcing / category management / experience in food industrySkilled negotiatorSkilled in supplier relationship management with strategic suppliersPossess strong interpersonal skills to effectively stakeholder and influence all teams, areas, and levels of the GroupHave excellent analytical, organisational & reporting skillsStrong and confident decision makerAble to demonstrate experience in delivery, leading and managing projectsUnderstanding and knowledge of contract law and processesCIPS qualified (Desirable)Benefits:2 Employee Volunteering Days per yearOnline and High-street retailer discount schemeEmployee well-being and community support groupsInformal and Formal training opportunities with personalised online LMS platformCharity Initiatives and Team events24/7 Access to Grocery Aid (Free Financial, Emotional and Practical Support)Physical Wellbeing Benefits – Free on demand exercise hub and various gym discounts.Online Wellbeing benefitsFree Financial wellbeing – mortgage calculators, budget tools, financial aid toolsHoliday Discounts via Online Retail Discount The Compleat Food Group are proud to have built an inclusive and respectful culture where our colleagues feel safe, supported and valued.
