C++ Software Engineer (Motorsport), Oxfordshire. £35,000 - £50,000
Our client are a globally recognised motorsport brand and are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join their team to deliver continuous improvement of simulation tools and models.
This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This unique and hugely rewarding role will see the successful candidate developing and maintaining lap simulation tools.
The responsibilities of the C++ Software Engineer include:
- Developing state-of-the-art simulation tools and related models that are easy to use, modify and maintain.
- Integrating those tools and models with the wider software and data-handling infrastructure.
- Supporting use of the tools for development and optimisation of vehicle performance.
- Helping to create and maintain a plan for delivery of the tools and models.
- Helping to define the development strategy.
The ideal C++ Software Engineer will have:
- Excellent technical ability, with a strong degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Self motivation, innovative ideas and will enjoy new challenges/problem-solving tasks.
- A collaborative attitude with good teamworking ability.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- 1+ years of C++ development, ideally including experience with C++17/20.
- Ideally experience of at least one of the following:
Optimal control
Automatic differentiation
Vehicle modelling
Multi body dynamics
