JOB TITLE: Joinery CAD Draughtsman
REPORTS TO: Joinery Manager

The service, provided from one of the most modern and well equipped joinery departments in the East of England, is available for highly specialised individual project or as a complementary skill to our Building and Services departments.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a leading, well established joinery company based in Cambridge.

Duties:
- Taking briefs and ideas from clients/designers and turning them into full working drawings/setting out for in house joinery production.
- Liaising closely with the Joinery Manager to establish cost effective and efficient ways to manufacture projects within budget and to specification.
- Coordinating the ordering of specialist materials required for the project.
- Effectively briefing Joiners/Machinists once drawings have been approved and throughout production.
- Ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
Person Requirements:
- A good knowledge of joinery practices, processes and requirements
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety matters
- Proficient in the use of CAD systems
- Ability to communicate and interact with relevant stakeholders including clients and staff
- Ability to design and schedule to order and to timetable
- Excellent product knowledge for joinery
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to represent the Company professionally when dealing with clients
