A world leader in their specialist area, our client develops high-precision, Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs and currently has a new opportunity for a CAD Support Engineer to join their design centre based in Edinburgh.

This is a unique opportunity for a hardworking and driven CAD Engineer with the opportunity to be strong contributor in the Mixed-Signal CAD team supporting EDA/CAD tools for integrated circuit design flows.
Responsibilities include:
- Automation and improvement of design engineering flows.
- Tool and methodology support for design and layout teams.
- Deliver reports to design groups and to customers.
- Develop and automate new, existing design methodologies.
- Liaise with external tool vendors to drive improvements.
Industry degree qualified you will have a background in CAD/EDA support within an IC Design environment. A strong understanding of Analog/Mixed-Signal design methodologies is required. Experience is also required in Analog simulation, parasitic extraction, Cadence OA, scripting preferably including Python and SKILL, Linux / UNIX.
You will have a strong knowledge of the Cadence Virtuoso Environment, including Spectre/SpectreX simulation environment (Maestro/ADE). Experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout editor driving the tool and debugging associated issues and experience setting up Cadence Virtuoso startup scripts. Experience of PDK setup including DRC/ERC review and sign-off is ideal.
Working in a vibrant working environment, this is a hybrid remote position and follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule, provided you live in commutable distance from the office. Visas can be sponsored also for the successful applicant.
