For this role you must be fully flexible Monday to Sunday. You will be allocated shifts on a rotational basis. You must be able to work a 0800am-0800pm/ 0800pm-0800am depending if night or day shift. You will not be able to provide us with your availability and we cannot allocate you preferred shifts.  Please consider this carefully before applying .  The Home Cairnmartin Court Care Home is a modern care facility that provides both Residential Dementia and Nursing Dementia care across 62 rooms. Cairnmartin is situated just 13 minutes from Belfast city centre, this west Belfast Home is within proximity to shops, amenities and public transport. Cairnmartin has a trained and dedicated team which provide person centred care, 24 hours a day to residents. Cairnmartin is presently undergoing renovations to update current facilities and also will welcome the addition of 4 new ensuite bedrooms and a conservatory leading to landscaped gardens. Cairnmartin resembles a home away from home, a place where you are greeted with a smile and laughter fills a room. Here at Cairnmartin we get to know each individual resident and place them at the centre of everything we do. The Role Care Assistants at Healthcare Ireland play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our Homes, providing essential support and assistance to residents to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. Care Assistants are part of our frontline team, responsible for delivering personalised care as well as assisting with activities of daily living. Our Care Assistants also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents. Collaborating with Nurses, the Wellbeing Team, families and external healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic and person-centred care. Care Assistants are essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Desired Criteria Qualifications in Health and Social Care or equivalent Previous experience within a care setting Educated to NVQ 2 level is desirable Required Criteria To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding A good standard of written and oral English The Right to Work in the UK Be NISCC registered or eligible to register Closing Date Saturday 28th September, 2024
