The Role:

  • Focusing on delivering short and medium-term business objectives for Wigan Council and your Service Delivery Manager.
  • Manage the effectiveness of the Technicians/Responders and operations and ensure there is always adequate staffing level cover.
  • Manage the team of Technicians/Responders to ensure they work effectively, efficiently and with a focus on service/team outcomes in line with the Company objectives and TSA standards.
  • Ability to understand and install TEC equipment for clients according to Company procedures and TSA standards and deadlines.
  • To provide information and coaching to individuals in the use of their TEC equipment.
  • Manage and conduct the appraisal process and monitor competency.
  • To conduct formal 1-1’s, coaching and feedback sessions, communications, Toolbox talks and team meetings,
  • Ensuring staff individually and collectively have the skills and experience to deliver the service.
  • Oversee routine Technician/Responder administration is carried out and ensure client information on the Company database system is updated and secure.
  • Manage Recruitment for Technicians/Responders and onboarding procedures.
  • Manage day to day HR related issues inline with company procedures.
  • To assist with compliance with TSA TEC Quality Framework, including compliance with KPI targets, performance objectives, audits, case studies, and training plans.
  • Ensure records of training and development undertaken and the outcome, are forwarded to HR to be kept on a central development file and on individual personnel files.
  • Ensure staff receive management support, supervision, and appraisal in line with Company policy.
  • Attend Management meetings, sometimes in other areas, and subsequently update staff on outcomes of the meetings.

The Person:

  • Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate a continually developing team, ideally within a field-based role.
  • Be an effective communicator, verbal and written.
  • You will be able to work well under pressure whilst constantly considering opportunity for improvement and development.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience of leading, managing and maximizing the performance of others
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively to meet changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to manage conflict and knows when to escalate.
  • Deliver a service with empathy and care putting the client and community at the forefront of what you do.
