This full-time post is immediately available on a permanent basis.

Summary of the role

The Engineering and Direct Works department is responsible for a significant proportion of the technical management and maintenance of the Universitys Estate. The dedicated in house maintenance team provides in and out of hours planned and reactive maintenance to what is effectively Devons tenth largest, and independently run, town.

Reporting to the Structural Team Leader, you will be a member of the operational team working alongside other maintenance operatives in the Electrical, Mechanical, Building & Structural Services.

We are looking for a customer focused team player who can work alone, or in a team and be able to use initiative to prioritise work demands and meet deadlines. Having prior experience or qualifications in Carpentry/Joinery and recent proven practical experience in structural maintenance and small works.
