Job Description

One of our public sector clients is looking for an experienced Administrative temporary worker to join their team as a Case Admin Officer. Although this is a hybrid role offering some days at home and the rest office-based, the ideal applicant will work between the Walsall office and the main Birmingham City Centre office, and you MUST be comfortable accessing both locations. This is initially a temporary role of 3 months, although it is likely to be extended beyond that time. The role is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week, with normal working hours around 9am - 5pm. The pay rate is £11.44 per hour.


Your role will be to provide admin support to allocated cases from designated staff members/teams as part of the department that facilitates offender tagging and monitoring.


You will have a hand in the following:

  1. Setting up and maintaining accurate information on internal databases.
  2. Spreadsheet management.
  3. Liaising with a multitude of departments and agencies to collate necessary information.
  4. Dealing with telephone queries from service users and external/internal bodies.
  5. Receiving and distributing relevant information and communications in an appropriate manner.
  6. Setting up video links with prisons.
  7. Maintenance of various Microsoft software, including Excel and Word.
  8. Liaising with offenders to discuss/organise appointments.
  9. Possible cover of reception when required.

The post holder must adhere to all policies regarding the sensitive/confidential nature of the information handled while working in this position.
