As a local authority we are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people and are investing in our capacity through creating additional posts within Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) service and other SEND services to help us to meet local need. Our EHCP service is there to support those who may need additional help to meet short or long needs to help children and young people fulfil their potential, and currently have a range of permanent vacancies. About the team and role As an EHCP Case Coordinator you would be part of our EHCP service you will working closely with education providers, developing strong working relationships across education, health, social care, young people and their families to improve outcomes and ensure access to inclusive and appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND. About you You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work co-productively and creatively with other professionals, children and young people and their families, to address identified needs. You will need to have empathy for the challenges that young people and their families experience, as well as competence in assessing and reviewing the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families. You will need experience, knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its application. Ideally you will have experience of working in a local authority as well as producing and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans.
