We are recruiting a Category Manager Flexibles Resin/Films This is a key position within our Intersnack Procurement team, with high visibility and close collaboration with the director level of the Intersnack Group. The jobholder will support the Senior Category Manager Flexibles in execution of the overall Flexibles sourcing strategy to ensure delivery of productivity initiative targets over multi-year horizon. As part of this portfolio, he/she will lead the sub-category of raw films, resin, zipper, microwave packaging and shrink foils across Intersnack Group globally. He/she is permanently in contact with our suppliers and other sources of market intelligence to offer competitive propositions to our customers, the Operating Companies of the Intersnack Group. The job also includes the regional lead for two of our business units on flexible packaging and leading the procurement related activities in our sustainable packaging core team. The Category Manager reports to the Senior Category Manager Flexible Packaging and will ideally be based in Düsseldorf/Köln, DE, Slough UK, or Doetinchem, NL. Your responsibilities: Manage the procurement activities of the raw film (incl. resin), zipper, microwave and shrink film packaging. Deliver productivity targets by supporting the Senior Category Manager Flexibles in execution of the strategy Drive sustainable packaging strategy across Intersnack Group Establish relationship with Resin suppliers Advance and foster close working relationship with key stakeholders Deliver Intersnack Group objectives in terms of cost, quality, service, and innovation. Promote and manage a robust supplier base to secure the Intersnack Procurement targets for compliance and reporting. Implementation of sustainable processes, compliance requirements and category strategy. A bachelor's or master's degree in business management, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field 5+ years’ work experience 3+ years’ experience in Packaging (e.g. Procurement, Research & Development, Supply Chain) Knowledge of Packaging material, preferably flexible packaging, film & resin Negotiation skills and business acumen Capable team player with excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical, strategic, conceptual skills Open to travel up to 20% (mainly Europe) What we offer: A role "at the core" of one of Europe’s biggest savory snacks producers with top-level attention and the chance to take responsibility and develop your career as part of a team that will value your individuality and ideas.
