Working asChange Communications Manager for a 10 monthcontract paying up to £50K based in London or Birmingham 3 days a weekand working from home 2 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead change programmecommunications that have a significant people impact in a clear andempathetic way.
  • Set strategic direction for internal changecommunications and work across the wider Senior Leadership Team onbest practice, to drive employee engagement and affect behavioralchange
  • Plan co-ordinate and lead the creation ofoutcome-based change communications plans for significant peoplechange impact, ensuring that change management and behavioral changeare at the forefront of our approach
  • Coordinate and maintainchange content in the IC content calendar, so that all change appearsjoined-up and clearly links to the organisations’ narrative andobjectives
  • Provide expert advice and professional oversightto all colleagues who create change content – advising them how tobest achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Devise, lead andmaintain the creation of ‘Change Toolkit’ for Senior Leaders andProject Leads to upskill them in change communications and to providea framework and tools for them to communicate change well for smallerprojects that IC is not involved in from an advisory capacity.
  • Responsible for ensuring employee listening and feedback isused throughout the change process to inform/change approach and makesure that feedback is dealt with quickly and that stakeholders areinformed throughout – acting as an advocate for employees in thechange process
  • Responsible for ensuring that our internaltone of voice is used in all change communications across all ourchallenges to ensure it is human, empathetic and has a clear line ofsight to the change story.

Skills

  • Post graduate qualification in Change Management and/orand IOIC/CIPR qualification in Internal Communications
  • Experience of being an Internal Communications Leader who hasBusiness Partner experience (preferably to Technology, Transformationor HR).
  • Success and evidence at designing, leading andimplementing change communications plans that result in behaviouraland organizational change for a hard to reach audience.
  • Experience of designing and implementing a ‘Change Toolkit’to support leaders across the organization in leading small scalechange for projects where the Internal Communications won’t beavailable to support in an advisory capacity.
  • Experience ofleading, coordinating and managing large-scale people impact changecommunications e.g. restructures, redundancies, pensions, changes toT&Cs.
  • Experience of creating a compelling change story andassociated communications plan across complex programmes with a highlevel of ambiguity.
  • Experience of leading change programmeswith employer brand implications, including consulting withUnions/Employee Associations/Trade bodies.
  • Knowledge ofcoaching and advising C-Suite leaders in change to make sure theyunderstand their role in change.
  • Understanding of the roleInternal Communications and Change plays in employee engagement.
