The Operational Excellence team shares accountability to deliver Wholesale Services outcomes, in particular:

  1. To improve customer service
  2. To make it easier for our people to serve at a consistently high standard, every time
  3. To reduce our cost to serve
As a Change Project Manager, you'll be scoping, solutions and delivering small, medium and large change projects across Wholesale Services, within the team and through collaborating with other teams across the business.
As well as identifying improvement opportunities and delivering projects which lead to business outcomes, you will collaborate with teams across Wholesale Services and the wider company including Digital and Customer Transformation, to effectively forecast impact, risk and dependencies, and will be responsible for achievable mitigation planning.
Working with a Continuous Improvement mindset, you'll need to be a good problem solver and have excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to confidently and clearly present to Senior stakeholders. You'll adhere with our output governance processes to ensure high-quality measurement of sustainable efficiency improvements, and enable/support effective auditing, training, and quality frameworks where necessary.
You'll work with resilience in sometimes complex environments and demonstrate an understanding of the overall strategic direction of Thames Water and Wholesale Services' role within, and actively work to deliver measurable change in line with that.
What you should bring to the role
  • Change management experience with implementation of customer-focused business change and initiatives, with measurable benefits
  • Conceptual Thinking - The ability to understand the whole picture; to draw conclusions from diverse information and to identify underlying issues in complex situations
  • Be a strategic thinker - Thinks ahead, adds value and innovates for the future. Effective at both strategy formulation and execution.
  • Previous risk management experience
  • Be a proven leader with the ability to develop a sense of unity and purpose, to influence others and direct them towards the goals of the organisation
  • Successful stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of project related problem-solving and resilience within a complex business environment
  • Business and commercial acumen, demonstrated in successfully delivered change projects

This position is to cover maternity absence for a duration of 13 -18 months and will be paying between £52,000 and £60,000 per annum.
