Role Overview:
As a Building Surveyor at Boddy and Edwards, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert building surveying services while driving business growth and fostering client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive building surveys, inspections, and condition reports.
- Provide expert advice on property acquisition, refurbishment, and maintenance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work.
- Manage and coordinate refurbishment and fit-out projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Provide expert Party Wall advice.
- Approval and Monitoring of tenant licence for alterations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated property solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
- Membership of RICS (MRICS).
- Proven experience in commercial property surveying.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in building pathology, construction, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology.
